This is what made me wanna see it. After "House of 1000 corpses" and "The Devil´s Rejects" I thought this movies MUST be good. Even though it´s the 138th sequel of Halloween.
To put it briefly, it can´t, by no means, keep up with the touchstone of 1978.
The movie itself was kind of dull. Everything was way too predictable. However, it was interesting to see how Michael grew up. But to be honest, I thought it was a good idea to tell the viewers in a quick and not too comprehensive way how he grew up in the first part in 1978. That made it kind of misterious. And for a story that was supposed to take place in the mid-70s this movie was a bit too new-school in my opinion. But after "20 years later" and "Resurrection" what can you expect...
Another interesting fact is that Rob Zombie couldn´t make a decent movie with a budget of $15,000,000. The first Halloween movie, which was directed by John Carpenter, became a cornerstone in the horror movie genre with a budget of only $325,000.
So, if you´re a real Halloween-fan and you´re interested in Rob Zombie´s attempt/version, go see it. If you want to see a great horror movie, stay at home or get the dvd some day.

New Halloween? Hau Ab !!
Good review, I'd still like to see it as i'm a huge Myers fan, and as you stated, it CAN'T get worse than Resurrection, UGH Busta Rhymes.
Also, would you be interested in exchanging links? If you could add our link to your link list, we can do the same back for you. Let us know if your interested!

Coo, we've added you to our link list....let us know when you've linked back.
Thanks!
Nice review, but I don't think $325,000 in 1978 equals the same in 2007. I won't see this one since I'm a fan of Carpenter's version of Halloween but still like Zombie's work (The Devil's Rejects is really good)
I wish they'd just leave the classics alone. Kids nowadays are gonna think of this version whenever us old fogies bring up "Halloween"
Hallween? its may be horror, just as i like.
Thanks!
Zombie may be unable to match the slash 'n' threat steadycam Carpenter original, but when the knife hit the big Z the right slot, going into the dark heart of the legend Myers.
Instead of treading the original building and to create a tribute that should motivate the new generation of horror fans is the original John Carpenter, with respect and excitement it deserves yet.
Excellent review. Rob Zombie is, and has been a juvenile director – it seems that, not unlike early writers, his modus operandi is to tell, and not show what he wishes to get across to the audience. Rob Zombie's 'Halloween' is an artistic failure.
There’s defiantly a lot of great tips here I’m going to try to be more aware of.Many writers pretend to know what they’re talking about when it comes to this topic and in reality, very few people actually get it.
Halloween originated as a celebration connected with evil spirits. Witches flying on broomsticks with black cats, ghosts, goblins and skeletons have all evolved as symbols of Halloween.
In the case of replica watches bands online things may get a bit complicated. However, if you do go to the abundance you may be able to accommodate 'extras', such as straps. Don't anticipate this is peanuts; Patek Philippe straps are hand-stitched crocodile derma and bulk hundreds of dollars to replace.
